4000 New Hardwood Trees for Earth Day

On Monday, April 22nd, 2013 Walnut Ridge celebrated Earth Day by planting 4000 new hardwood trees. These trees, purchased from the Indiana DNR tree nurseries were planted by Brian Gandy. Brian is an independent forester who has been working tirelessly on our property to remove invasive growth, provide timber stand improvement, and ensure new trees are planted to continue the regeneration for future generations to enjoy.
