Since Walnut Ridge is privately owned, you MUST have permission to be on the property. You may NOT hunt or cut trees. Please protect fences, gates, or other man-made or natural features. Do not disturb or remove plants, animals, or fossils from property. Vehicles may not be driven onto the property without a vehicle pass and must stay in designated parking areas. Please remove all trash brought to the property.
By entering Walnut Ridge you agree to hold harmless the owners from liability for injuries to you or your property that occur while on our land, as indicated in Indiana Code below.
In accordance with Indiana Code 14-22-10-1, a person may not fish, hunt, trap, chase, shoot with any kind of firearm or archery equipment, search for or gather any plant life, or search for or gather any artifacts upon privately owned land without having the consent of the owner or tenant of the land.
As required by Indiana Code 34-31-9-14, Contents of warning notice – WARNING! Under Indiana law, an agritourism provider is not liable for an injury to, or the death of, a participant in agritourism activities at this location if the death or injury results from the inherent risks of agritourism activity. Inherent risks of agritourism activities include risks of injury inherent to land, equipment, and animals as well as the potential for you to act in a negligent manner that may contribute to your injury or death, or for other participants to act in a manner that may cause you injury or cause your death. You are assuming the risk of participating in this agritourism activity.
In accordance with Indiana Code 35-43-2-2, a person who not having a contractual interest in the property, knowingly or intentionally enters the real property of another person after having been denied entry by the other person or that person's agent (or) after having been asked to leave by the other person or that person's agent commits criminal trespass, a Class A misdemeanor. A person has been denied entry by means of personal communication, oral or written; posting or exhibiting a notice at the main entrance in a manner that is either prescribed by law or likely to come to the attention of the public.
